Reading/Ideas/MemesA little something something
Since I have the opportunity to hang around the coffee shop all day ,reading copious amounts and swilling caffeine its only fair I turn you on to a few favorite reads.
Just Finished "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy (Thanks Tonya), may be Conroys best work, the pages flew by. If you have any beach time left take this one along.
"Where Peachtree meets Sweet Auburn" by Gary Pomerantz, a political history of Atlanta from the Civil War forward. If you are a history or politics junkie this is a great read. If you want to understand the Atlanta region better this is a good place to start.
"A Whole New Mind" by Dan Pink, Pink also wrote "Free Agent Nation" If you want to get your head around the growth of the entreprenuerial creative economy, these books will give you lots of ideas to ponder and concrete ways to increase your creativity (hanging around 45 South helps).
Let me know your favorites, and share your books with others. Ideas don't grow sitting on shelves.

 Festival Season
Festival season is upon us. The British Car Fayre kicks it off Sept 12th. 45 South will be hosting an authentic English Tea Garden on our patio with proper tea, scones, and clotted creme. All proceeds go to the Fayre organizers for their many good works. Stop by and extend your pinkie for the cause. With festivals come the need for volunteers. If you wnat to get involved in the comunity then volunteer a few hours for one of our city events. It will change your life, guaranteed.
